Please make note:
***We have eliminated the mini-quad outlaw class and designated the Womens class for 85cc & up. Girls on smaller bikes need to ride in the appropriate cc class....***
There are some basic rules that need to be understood and followed when signing up for a Cycle City event.
When signing up for a class (or classes), please take a moment to understand the different skill level descriptions.
Take a beginner rider for example. This would be any rider with less than one year of racing experience. If you have more than one year of experience, for the safety and enjoyment of the other beginners, you must move up the next skill level appropriate for you.
Below are some helpful tips for which class may be appropriate, depending on your age and your skill level.
One example that is not always so obvious is for the 85cc racer. If you are an 85cc beginner rider, you can only ride the 85cc beginner class, you cannot also ride your age class for the 85cc. And Vice-versa. The age classes are for the more experienced racer. As a 2nd class option, the 105cc Open is available to you. This is a class for any 85cc rider with any skill level.
The next example is in regards to any 125 or 250 racer.
If you have two bikes for example, a 125cc and a 250cc, you cannot ride the intermediate class on one bike and the beginner on the other bike. You are either a beginner or an intermediate. However you classify yourself is how you must enter across the board. And, once you have designated yourself as an intermediate or a novice or pro, you cannot go backwards and decide to ride beginner again.
The same rules applies to the Pro classification. If you enter any pro class you cannot enter any amateur class at all.
If you ride a 250F you cannot ride in the 250cc class, you MUST ride in the 125cc class. If you have a 450F you must ride in the 250cc class.
The skill level order is as follows:
Beginner
Novice
